ONE GREAT IMAGE & 100 WORDS

Mercury is a string instrument made for kids in improvised areas in China. With a huge population, about 108 million improvised young people have little chance to receive a proper musical education. Public school can hardly cover this financial burden. There is only 12% of the primary school have skilled vocal teachers in some provinces. Made with minimum cost, Mercury is a flat ukulele without resonant box for young people age 11 to 14. They can use boxes wit various shapes and sizes to replace it and explore the sound. It's easy to reassemble and tool free. Regardless of economic circumstances, Mercury provides equal opportunities to learn music.

This is not finished yet. My next move is to contact manufactures and charity, trying to get my project into the real world. I designed for real people, I surely want it benefit real people as well.
