1.COBWEBS
The first tensile composition work was named cobwebs. It was made by elastic cloth, cotton reels and nails attached on trees. In the early morning, dew was found on cobwebs, although the structure can withstand very heavy weight of dew but it still had a delicate look; highly aesthetic tension extension. Branches were put in the interior space to form a three- dimensional modeling present the tension by stretching fabric. Although it is man-made materials, but I hope it can achieve harmony with the environment.

2.LIAN WU
Origin
Lian Wu is a common fruit in Taiwan but I had never seen before in the north part of China. I found it very juicy and rich in fiber. The strip on its surface is quit unique. It remainds me of the novel Invisible Cities by my favourite writer Italo CalvinoI. Both of them are trying to present a sence of uncertainty and fantasy. I tried to convey the same thing based on Lian Wu.

Development
& Making Processes
This work is made by elastic cloth and epoxy resin. First I make a wooden cube (60cm*60cm*60cm). Then I dragged the cloth to the shape I want and fixed it by cotton thread. Then I brush a layer of epoxy resin to fix it.The white one is a model, later I made the red one which is more symmetrical and powerful.
3.YIN-YANG

Origin
Yin-Yang is a famous concept in Chinese philosophy. It contains two opposing principles in nature, the former feminine and negative, the latter masculine and positive. It contains every thing in the world and also contains noting at all. I try to express that nothing is absolute or stable, it transform constantly from positive to negative or reverse from negative to positive. Like the shape of sphere to cub.
Making Processes
I used Poly ridge and chopsticks to make the frameworks. Two frameworks are in the same structure. Then I use news paper to split the Mold. Then I cut the cloth and sew it together.

4.UPSIDE DOWN 卡
About The Name
This work is an liner composition called 卡。In Chinese ‘上’ means up and ‘下’means down. The Chinese word ‘卡’happened contains both of them. The Chinese word‘卡’means stuck. It is also the way how this work combined with each parts.
Orgin
This concept comes from a novel by Italo Calvino I read years ago. In the story there is a village, people will tie a particulate wire between two houses if there are any connection between the people who live in there. Many years passed by, there are far too many wires in the village so they have to move to other place to live and left this old village behind.
Drafts
At first I try to make a village but later I found city is a more interesting object to present.
Modals
Two small modals were made to present this topic. I chose the color back to present city and brighter color to present the connection between people who live in the city. The one on the top is more aggressive and chaos, trying to present the confliction and complexity between people. The one on the left looks lighter because the frame is hollowed, and the arrangement of lines is well ordered. There is a little cuboid out side the city, actually it represents myself. I was new to the city of Taipei back then as an exchange student. No one in this city has any connection with me yet. I tried to express the anxious feeling I was going though by my work.
Final Concept
One of my classmate draw the frame based on the model I made. Then we use laser cut the black acrylic. I made a wood shelf and tied the acrylic by fish wire to hang this work. Then I used cotton thread to do the composition. The lines from city on the top is well organized but the lines from the bottom is chaos, representing the conflict feature may comes from the same person or the same society. Size: 60cm*90cm
